Our History
Jubilee Church was established in 2009 in Plano, Texas.
The name Jubilee was inspired by two Scriptures. In Isaiah 61, Isaiah prophesied that a special servant would proclaim the year of the LORD's favor. Jesus revealed in Luke 4 that He was the fulfillment of Isaiah's prophecy.
For our church, the word jubilee conveys the liberating grace of God for those in bondage. Jubilee Church is committed to preaching the gospel of His grace so that people may experience the freedom that is found only in Jesus Christ.

Our Core Beliefs
Scripture
All Scripture is the divine and final authority for all of Christian life and faith, the inspired Word of God without error in the original writings, and the complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of humanity. Mark 12:13, 26, 36; Luke 24:27, 44; John 5:39; Acts 1:16-28, 26:22-23, 28:23; Rom. 15:4; 1 Cor. 2:13, 10:11; 2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:21
The Trinity
There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three Persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each Person is fully God, co-equal in essence and nature. Matt. 28:18–19; Mark 12:29; John 1:14; Acts 5:3–4; 2 Cor. 13:14; Heb. 1:1–3; Rev. 1:4–6
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is God’s eternal Son, fully God and, following His incarnation, fully man at the same time. He allowed Himself to be born of a virgin, taught men and women how to live through a sinless life, was crucified as a substitute for our sins, arose bodily from the dead, and ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate. He will come again. Is. 7:14; Matt. 1:18-25, 4:2; Luke 1:26-38, 2:52; John 1:1-3; Acts 1:9; Gal. 5:8; Col. 1:15-20, 2:9, 3:1; Heb 1:3, 4:15, 8:1, 12:2
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Trinity who convicts people to repent of their sins and confess Jesus as Savior and Lord. He indwells all who are saved, filling them, teaching them, gifting them, enabling them to bear fruit, and empowering them to witness concerning Christ. John 14:16–17, 16:7-15; Acts 1:8; 1 Cor. 6:19, 12:1-11; Gal. 5:22; Eph. 2:22; 2 Thess. 2:7
Humanity
Man and woman, created in God's image, were tempted by Satan and rebelled against God. As a result of their rebellion, all members of the human race are dead in their sins. Through regeneration by the Holy Spirit and personal faith in Jesus Christ, we can be forgiven of sin and become children of God. Gen. 1:26; Ps. 14:1-3, 51:5; Jer. 17:9; John 3:6, 5:40, 6:35; Rom. 3:10-19, 8:6-7; Gal 2:17, 6:5; Eph. 2:1–3; 1 Tim. 5:6; 1 John 3:8
Salvation
We are saved solely by the grace of God through faith in Christ. Jesus Christ was made to be sin and was made a curse for us, dying in our place. Matt. 26:28; John 3:7–18; Rom. 5:6–9; 2 Cor. 5:21; Gal. 3:13, 6:15; Eph. 1:7; Phil. 3:4–9; Titus 3:5; James 1:18; 1 Pet. 1:18–19
The Church
The Church is the living Body of Christ on earth, with Christ as its head and source of life. The Body is composed of those who have received Him personally. The Church exists to worship the living God, make Christ known to the world, love those within the Body, cultivate personal and corporate growth in Christ, and be light and salt to a fallen world. Matt. 16:16–18; Acts 2:42–47; Rom. 12:5; 1 Cor. 12:12–27; Eph. 1:20–23, 4:3-10; Col. 3:14–15
The Return of Christ
Jesus Christ will return physically to earth to raise the dead, judge the world, and establish His glorious and eternal Kingdom. This is the hope of the Church and her encouragement for ministry. The redeemed will go on to eternal life and the unredeemed to eternal hell. Deut. 30:1–10; Isa. 11:9; Ezek. 37:21–28; Matt. 24:15–25:46; Acts 15:16–17; Rom. 8:19–23, 11:25-27; 1 Tim. 4:1–3; 2 Tim. 3:1–5; Rev. 20:1–3
Baptism and Communion
Baptism is a public confession of faith in Christ as personal Savior and a testimony that one is dead to sin and resurrected to a new life. The Lord’s Supper is a time of thanksgiving and communion with Christ, setting forth in a sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ and the unity of His Church. Thus, all true believers and only believers should share in it. Matt. 28:19; Luke 22:19–20; Acts 10:47–48, 16:32-33, 18:7-8; 1 Cor. 11:26
Eternal Security
Because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the true believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. Those who have been genuinely saved through faith in Him cannot lose salvation. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that give believers this security. John 5:13, 24, 10:28, 13:1, 14:16-17, 17:11; Rom. 8:29; 1 Cor. 6:19; Heb. 7:25; 1 John 2:1–2; Jude 24
