Eugene Baek | Youth Pastor
Eugene is a Dallas native who graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity and Master of Theology. He is recently married to his wonderful and beautiful wife, Lindsay. He has a huge heart for the rising Asian-American generation and pursued his passion serving on leadership at Intervarsity Asian American Christian Fellowship at Vanderbilt and as a youth worker and youth pastor for ten years at Korean churches in Nashville, Boston, and Dallas.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I could write a book about my hobbies and interests... I'll give you my top three, not in any particular order: (1) Finding hidden gems
(2) Making/listening to music (3) Watching/playing sports
What is a little known fact about you?
If I told you then it wouldn't be a secret, right? ;)
What are your favorite foods?
I have too many to count! I love food. Always down to have Korean, Indian, Italian, Greek/Mediterranean, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Mexican, Latin American, etc. If I picked three foods that I could eat all the time in a world without any consequences, they would be pizza, Texas BBQ, and budae jjigae (Army Stew).
What do you love about living in Dallas?
Dallas is a great place to settle and start/raise a family. The city is growing and, compared to other cities in the US, it's very affordable.
What do you love most about Jubilee?
Jubilee Church is a great place for families. The church itself is a big family. A lot of our kids were born in this church and have grown up together. We love our families and would love you to be a part of our family!

Lindsay Baek | Children's Pastor
Born on the East Coast, Lindsay moved to Dallas during her elementary years and began attending Jubilee Church when she was twelve. Her involvement in children's ministry throughout high school led to the decision to pursue vocational ministry. She studied Children’s Ministry and Bible at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, which was followed by a Master of Theology with an emphasis in Educational Leadership back at home. She also works as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and enjoys getting to interact with a spectrum of ages each week: from the youngest Pre-K student in Sunday School to seminarians from all walks of life.
Who/what have been your greatest spiritual influences?
My spiritual life has been shaped by my parents – my first pastors – as well as professors, writers, and other everyday believers. Bearing witness to the faithful, discerning, and reflective rhythms of life lived by fellow brothers and sisters offers a compelling vision for how I want to pattern mine.
What book(s)/author(s) would you recommend that every believer read?
A couple books that powerfully shaped my spiritual understanding are Desiring the Kingdom by James K.A. Smith and Dwell by Barry Jones. I am always challenging myself to read more fiction and poetry because my default is non-fiction.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my down time, you'll find me having the youth group over, attending church kiddos’ games and recitals, exploring the neighborhood with my husband, or adding more books to my reading list than I'll ever have time to read.
What are your favorite foods?
I'm a lover of trying cuisine from different countries and all things Mediterranean and curry. And I love me a good pizza!
Who would Jubilee Church be a great fit for?
Jubilee will feel like home for people who want their church to become an extended family. As a smaller church body, we offer rich relationships along with a high view of the Word, a deeply-rooted culture of prayer, and regular meal-sharing.
