Our Leadership

Pastoral Staff

Picture
Eugene Baek  |  Pastor of Preaching

Eugene is a Dallas native who graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Gordon–Conwell Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity and Master of Theology. Eugene served on leadership at InterVarsity Asian–American Christian Fellowship in college, then as a youth worker/pastor for ten years at churches in Nashville, Boston, and Dallas. He is married to his wonderful and beautiful wife, Lindsay.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I could write a book about my hobbies and interests. I'll give you my top three, not in any particular order: finding hidden gems, making and listening to music, and watching or playing sports.

What is a little known fact about you?
If I told you, then it wouldn't be a secret, right?

What are your favorite foods?
I have too many to count! Always down to have Korean, Indian, Italian, Mediterranean, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Latin American, etc. If I picked three foods that I could eat all the time in a world without any consequences, they would be pizza, Texas BBQ, and budae jjigae (army stew).

What do you love about living in Dallas?
Dallas is a great place to settle and both start and raise a family. The city is growing and, compared to other cities in the US, it's very affordable.

What do you love most about Jubilee?
Jubilee Church is a great place for families. The church itself is a big family. A lot of our kids were born in this church and have grown up together. We love our families and would love for you to be a part of our family!

Lindsay Baek  |  Pastor of Education

Lindsay was born on the East Coast and moved to Dallas after third grade. She started teaching Sunday School after her dad became a pastor, and this opportunity through high school birthed a lifelong passion for vocational ministry. She studied Children’s Ministry and Bible at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, which was followed by a Master of Theology with an emphasis in Educational Leadership back home. One of her greatest joys is serving the Lord and his Church alongside her husband, Eugene.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
You'll find me exploring locally with my husband, trying out a new recipe, or adding more books to my reading list than I'll ever have time to read.

What is a little known fact about you?
I've had the joy of teaching every age group Pre-K to 12th, including brief stints teaching preschool, middle school, and high school students in academic settings.

What are your favorite foods?
I love trying cuisine from different countries and all things Mediterranean and curry. And I always say yes to a good pizza!

Who would Jubilee Church be a great fit for?
Jubilee is a great home for people who want their church to feel like an extended family. You can expect a warm community with a deep devotion to God and His Word, a high commitment to prayer, and a huge love of sharing our homes and tables with one another. We look forward to welcoming you to the family!
