Our Story
Jubilee Church was established in 2009 to reach the greater Collin County area.
God has been good to us. Over the first decade of our ministry, individuals have met Christ. Hurting souls have found healing. New believers have been baptized. Older disciples have discipled the next generation.
People who walk through our doors often comment that Jubilee is a truly warm and welcoming family. We hope to become family to many more as we continue to invite others to encounter Jesus and grow with us as disciples who look increasingly like Him.
Meaning of Jubilee
In the Old Testament, God commanded the people of Israel to observe a Year of Jubilee every fifty years. During the Jubilee, every debt was forgiven and every captive person released. The land enjoyed rest. In Old Testament times, the Jubilee focused on a particular time and place. The period of redemption and rest was limited and temporary.
In the New Testament age, we now enjoy an eternal Jubilee in the person of Christ. The spiritual Jubilee introduced by Christ sets us free from sin and gives us permanent redemption and rest. We no longer celebrate this joyous occasion every fifty years, but every day because Christ has wiped out our debts. Hallelujah!
